kids@kita – BITZER assumes social responsibility

What some of the nursery schoolchildren came up with and built for the kids@kita association’s KunstStoff art project this year is more than impressive. BITZER was involved as a sponsor for the ninth year

In line with the motto ‘storybook Sindelfingen’, once again around 200 nursery schoolchildren created some wonderful works of art with their teachers and nine artists from the region. Despite the obstacles resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, the KunstStoff project provided children with the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing with the help of adults. In addition to paintings and felt artwork, the pieces also included theatre, films and even animations. And don’t forget the dragon perched atop the half-timbered house. All these works of art are available for viewing at the Sindelfingen city gallery until 29 August 2021. BITZER has sponsored the kids@kita association for nine years, which among other things is committed to exposing children to creativity and art at an early age. ‘As a company rooted in Sindelfingen, we enjoy giving back to our community and supporting local social projects, especially within the context of art. After all, contemporary art, in particular, is also very near and dear to the BITZER company,’ explains Frank Hartmann, Chief Financial Officer and  member of the Executive Board at BITZER.

Since it was founded nine years ago, kids@kita has supported around 40 nurseries in Sindelfingen with a total of 2,000 children. With initiatives such as KunstStoff, which allows nursery schoolchildren to work on a project with experienced artists and teachers, the association aims to nurture the creative abilities of future generations in a fun and exciting way. This is already the tenth exhibition at the Sindelfingen city gallery to highlight budding artists from local nurseries. This year, three floors of the gallery are filled with fairy tale figures, with characters such as Rapunzel and the Frog Prince rubbing shoulders with the dragon.
